Amelia Castillo

Edinburg - Amelia Castillo, 85, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024 at McAllen Medical Center.

Mrs. Castillo was born July 11, 1938 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, daughter of Pascual Castillo and Francisca Segura Castillo. She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Hernandez and her parents.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Jose Luis Hernandez, Ovidio Hernandez, Juana Escobedo and Aida Hernandez; 2 brothers, Santos Castillo and Francisco Castillo. Also surviving her 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Elsa. Funeral chapel service is scheduled for Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 1:00 pm with interment to follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Elsa.
