America S. (Salazar) Bernal

Elsa- America S. Bernal, 90, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 24, 2022 in Elsa, Texas.

Mrs. Bernal was born on June 23, 1931 to Mr. Ramon Salazar Sr. and Mrs. Cesaria Cantu Vela Salazar in Sebastian, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her Husband Salvador Bernal Sr.; her son: Juan Manuel Bernal; her daughter: Maria America Bernal; her brothers: Rodolfo Salazar Sr., Ramon Salazar Jr., Jose Maria Salazar, Crispin Salazar; her sisters: Anita Villanueva, Raquel Garcia, Aurora Saenz, Maria Cristela Garza, Celia Cantu Vela.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons: Salvador Bernal Jr., Juan Manuel Bernal; her duaghters: America B. Rodriguez, Maria Teresa Bernal, Maria Christela (Roberto Dominguez) Bernal, Patricia M. Bernal; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.

As per the families request, please wear facial coverings at church and cemetery.
