Anselmo Lugo

La Blanca- Anselmo Lugo, 79, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 2, 2023 at Amara Hospice in Edinburg, Texas.

Mr. Lugo was born on March 11, 1943 to Mr. Pedro Lugo and Mrs. Josefina A. Lugo in San Benito Texas.

Mr. Lugo is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Pedro Lugo and Mrs. Josefina A. Lugo; his son, Anselmo Lugo Jr.; his daughter, Nora Elia Lugo; his brothers, Antonio Lugo, Severo Lugo, Pablo Lugo, Abel Lugo.

Left to cherish his memories is his Loving Wife, Evangelina Lugo; his daughter, Linda (Jose) Arredondo, Lydia (Homer) Flores, Diana (Rene) Cruz, Jacklyn Janelle Lugo, Jaymie Lynn Lugo; his son, Joel James Lugo; his brother, Pedro Lugo; his sisters, Herminia Moreno, Emilia Lugo; his grandchildren, Bianca C. (Medardo) Garcia, Briana L. (Luis Mata) Arredondo, Brenda J. Arredondo, Monica E. Flores, Adrian Flores, David Flores, Dustyn Cruz; his great-grandchildren, Kaytlin Garza, Kaleb Mata, Anorah Garcia.

Mr. Lugo’s passion for semi trucks lead him to a career of truck driving for 57 years. He really enjoyed traveling the U.S. behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler. He also loved to spend time mentoring various nephews and friends in the truck driving industry. When he wasn’t driving, his other great passion was family. He really enjoyed family gatherings and especially the Christmas Holidays surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren and sons-in-law.

Visitation for Mr. Anselmo Lugo is scheduled for Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Angels in Elsa. A Funeral Service is scheduled for Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11:00 am at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Angels in Elsa. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission, Texas.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
