Arturo Becerra

Brownsville - Arturo Becerra, 74, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022 at his residence in Brownsville. Mr. Becerra was born February 28, 1947 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, son of Lorenzo Mendoza and Maria Leonor Becerra. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers,, Jose Luis Mendoza, Michael Luna; sister, Maria Elisa Becerra. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Angela Bertha Becerra; sons, Arturo Becerra, Gabriel Becerra (Veronica), Esteban Becerra (Diana), Carlos Becerra (Brianna), Jaime Arturo Becerra; daughters, Maria Leonor Garza Becerra, Bertha Alicia Becerra; brothers, Alberto Mendoza, Antonio Becerra, Robert Luna, Ruben Luna; sisters, Maria Guadalupe Almazan, Diana Soria and Maria Padilla. Also surviving him are 23 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 1 pm to 8 pm with a 6 pm rosary at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. As per his wishes, he will be cremated at a later date. Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
