Arturo Mendez

Brownsville - Arturo Mendez, 68, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Brownsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Mendez was born May 29, 1953 in Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico, son of Manuel Mendez Ruiz and Antonia Perez Mendez. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Maria Diaz Silva de Mendez; children, Arturo Mendez, Juan Carlos Mendez, Josue Mendez; brother, Juan Mendez; sisters, Francisca Mendez, Lucina Mendez, Luisa Mendez, Elizabeth Mendez and Raquel Mendez. Also surviving him are 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a prayer service at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. As per his wishes, he will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
