Ascencion Aguilar

Brownsville, Texas - Ascencion Aguilar, 81, passed away to be with the Lord on June 25, 2020 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville.
Mr. Aguilar was born on May 18, 1939 in Mexico, son of Mr. Jose Aguilar and Mrs. Juana Reyes Aguilar.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Ana Luisa Aguilar; brother, Olegario Aguilar;sisters, Martina Aguilar, Francisca Aguilar, Maria Luisa Aguilar and Maria del Socorro Aguilar.

Surviving him is his wife, Nicolasa E. Palomo; children, Jose (Mari Barajas), Roberto (Felipa Hernandez) Aguilar, Gerardo (Raquel Jimenez) Aguilar, Eduardo (Angelica Mayorga) Aguilar, Angel Mario (Andrea Hernandez) Aguilar, Alma Leticia (Arturo Garcia); step-children, Pedro (Florinda Almaguer) Palomo, Guillermo (Yolanda Flores) Palomo, Santiago (Claudia Trujillo) Palomo J, Leticia (Antonio) Guzman; brother, Trinidad Aguilar,; sisters, Amalia Aguilar and Elpidia Aguilar. Also surviving him are 16 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 28, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Prayer Service. Cremation will take place a later date.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsvillle.

In accordance to the County of Cameron and the State of Texas we ask all guest to please practice social distancing by staying 6 feet apart from each other. For your safety every other chapel pew will be closed off. All guest are required to have a facial mask on with a filter. No other facial mask will be permitted. If you are feeling ill or have traveled outside the county we ask you please stay home and watch our live streaming on our Salinas Funeral Home of Brownsville Facebook page on Thursday, June 18,2020 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. We recommended no children under the age of 11 or adult over the age 65 with any medical conditions not visit the funeral home. You are more than welcome to pay your condolences to the family online.
