Basilio Barrientos

Brownsville - Basilio Barrientos, 67, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 at Valley Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Barrientos was born on May 20, 1953 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, son of Ignacio Barrientos and Ramona Rodriguez Barrientos. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Juan Jose Barrientos.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Julia Martinez Barrientos; children: Jose Basilio Barrientos, Oscar Barrientos, Isabel Barrientos, Ignacio Barrientos; brothers: Jose Angel Barrientos, Rolando Barrientos, Tomas Barrientos; sisters: Guadalupe Vargas, Maria Dolores Rivera, Alma Rosa Barrientos. Also surviving him are 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. Prayer Service at Salinas Funeral Home Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville.  As per his wishes, he will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
