Beatriz Cortez Garcia

Brownsville - Beatriz Cortez Garcia, 57, passed away Monday, July 20, 2020 in Corpus Christi.

Mrs. Cortez Garcia was born August 18, 1962 in Brownsville, Texas daughter of Ramiro G. Cortez and Oralia Gonzalez Cortez. She is preceded in death by her brother, Arturo Cortez.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Guadalupe "Piro" Torres; her parents; her children, Rita M. Vela (Joseph), Patricia Garcia (Patrick ), Georgi Ann Alaniz (+Randy), Miguel Torres (Amy),Lupita Torres, Melissa Torres (Josh), Pablo Torres (Alice); brothers, Ramiro Cortez Jr. Jose Martin Cortez; sisters, Minerva Cortez Bernal, Sulema Cortez. Also surviving her are 20 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Rosary and will resume on Friday, July 31, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. Funeral chapel service will be on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Burial Park.
