Benigno Valdez

San Antonio - Benigno Valdez, 77, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Valdez was born January 17, 1947 in Edcouch, Texas, son of Esteban Valdez and Celia Valdez Valdez. He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Teresa Valdez; brother, Esteban Valdez; sisters, Aurora Alvarado, Paula Lopez, Guadalupe Robles, Maria Trevino, Eva Villarreal, Celia Pena.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 59 years,Minerva Valdez; his children. Crispin Valdez, Lorena Pierce (Jesse Pierce),Veronica Valdez (Joey Reyna) and a son-in-law, Roberto Cantu; his brother, Gregorio Valdez; his sister, Rebecca Hernandez. Also surviving him are 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Talk Service at 6:00 pm followed by a rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of The Angels in Elsa. Funeral chapel service is scheduled for Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Highland Memorial Park.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Elsa.
