Carmelo Valdez Gamez

Elsa, Texas - Carmelo Valdez Gamez, 83, passed away to be with the Lord on January 7, 2025 at Edinburg Regional.

Mr. Valdez Gamez was born on July 16, 1941 in EJ. Santa Adelaida Reynosa, Tamaulipas MX. to Mr. Aurelio Gamez & Mrs. Juanita Valdez.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, his brothers Natalio Gamez, Gabriel Gamez and Bernardo Gamez and his sister Adela Gamez.

Carmelo Valdez Gamez is survived by his loving wife Piedad Gamez, his sons; Noe Gamez (Beatrice McMenimen), Homero Gamez, David Gamez and Bernardo Gamez (Karina Hurtado), his daughter Adela Gamez (Zebedee Suarez), his sisters; Concepcion Gamez, Juanita Gamez, Maria Gamez and Eugenia Gamez. Also surviving him are 16 grandchildren.

Visitation for Carmelo Valdez Gamez is scheduled for Thursday, January 09, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 Pm at Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa- Chapel of the Angels. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday, January 10,2025 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Interment will follow at Anahuac Cemetery.
