Brownsville - Catalina de la Cruz, 95, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Valley Baptist Medical Center.

Ms. de la Cruz was born April 30, 1928, in Dos Cabezas, Arizona. Daughter of Pablo de la Cruz and Eloisa Gutierrez de la Cruz. She is preceded in death by her husband Catarino Borrego and her parents.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: Jesus de la Cruz Borrego, German de la Cruz Borrego, Emilio de la Cruz Borrego, Oscar de la Cruz Borrego, Iram de la Cruz Borrego, Maria Elena Martinez; her two brothers: Francisco de la Cruz and Dionicio de la Cruz. Also surviving her are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. Funeral chapel service is scheduled for Friday, March 22, 2024, at 12:00 pm with Interment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park at 1:00 pm
