Catarina S. Hernandez

Brownsville - Catarina S. Hernandez, 78, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at her residence in Brownsville.

Mrs. Hernandez was born November 25, 1946, in Brownsville, Texas, daughter of Juan Sosa and Amalia Vera Sosa. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eligio G. Hernandez, her parents. brothers, Juan Sosa, Carlos Sosa and Jesus Sosa; a sister, Maria S. Martinez.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Nora de Leon (Eddie J.), Eric Hernandez, Becky J. Pozos, brother Gabriel Sosa, and sisters, Antonia Villarreal and Avelina Sosa. Also surviving her are her grandchildren, Miguel A. Pozos (Kimberly), Marco A. Pozos, Alejandro P. De Leon, Maximo A. Pozos, Emma J. De Leon and great-grandchildren, Makenna Pozos, Malakai Pozos, Sonny Pozos.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. As per her wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
