Celedonio Barrera

Elsa- Celedonio Barrera, 71, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at his residence in Elsa.

Mr. Barrera was born on May 6, 1951 to Mr. Domingo Barrera and Mrs. Florencia R. Barrera in Edcouch, Texas.

Mr. Barrera is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Jesus Barrera, Servando Barrera and his step-father, Manuel Benavides.

Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife, Angelica Barrera; his son, Ruben (Stephanie Esparza) Barrera; his daughters, Beatrice (Orlando) B. Garcia, Monica Barrera; his brothers, Manuel Benavides, Gilberto Benavides; his sisters, Armandina Ramos, Dora Benavides, Estela Benavides, Rebecca Benavides, Diana Rodriguez and 9 grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Celedonio Barrera is scheduled for Friday, March 3, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Angels in Elsa. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in La Villa. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco, Texas.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
