Dennis Raymond Kosik

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dennis Raymond Kosik Sr. at Corpus Christi Medical Center on Saturday, February 20, 2021. Dennis was in his 67th year.

He was the son of the late Loretta (Traina) and Sylvester Kosik of Houston Texas, predeceased by brother Eric Douglas Kosik.

Beloved husband and best friend of Irasema “Pam” Kosik (Perez).

Loving father of Leslie Renee Buckmaster, Dennis Raymond Kosik Jr. Stepfather of Vanessa Roman, Valerie (Gabriel) Garcia, Vidal (Lindsay) Roman and Joey Mendoza. He will also be greatly missed by his rescued Dachshund and “baby boy” Francisco.

He was the proud grandfather to Reese J. Buckmaster, Gavin L. Kosik, Sabrina Tharpe, Shiloh Tharpe, Victoria Janell, Lena G. Roman, Ellanie J. Roman, Vianna L. Roman and Abbriella F. Roman.

Dear brother of Kenneth Kosik, Linda (Bill) Rummel and Travis Kosik.

He was a quiet and kind gentleman holding the highest integrity in business and in family life. He loved fishing, working in his garden and excelled in carpentry.

Dennis was above all passionate and proud of all his grandchildren.

Family and friends may pay their respects at Salinas Funeral Home – Chapel of the Heavens, 304 East Edinburg, Elsa on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be held at Salinas Funeral Home – Chapel of the Heavens on Thursday at 12:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
