Dolores Mercedes Russell

Brownsville — Dolores Mercedes Russell, 72, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020, at Valley Baptist Medical Center.

Mrs. Russell was born March 5, 1948, in Mercedes, Texas, daughter of Florencia Guzman. She was preceded in death by her mother; a son, Richard Russell and sister Angelica Castro.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, John Edward Russell (Ella), William Wallace Russell (Elvia), Carmelita Russell, Betsy Russell, Windy Russell Rodriguez (Rolando); brothers, Julio Cesar Guzman, Jesus Castro; sister, Alma Rosa Castro. Also surviving her are her 7 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary at Salinas Funeral Home — Chapel of the Heavens in Brownsville. As per her wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
