Alamo - Domitila T. Bernal, 86, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023 at her residence.
Mrs. Bernal was born May 12, 1937 in Laredo, Texas, daughter of Jesus Torres and Cayetana Nieto. She is preceded in death by her parents; a son Leonardo Bernal Jr.; brothers, Mike Torres, Pedro Torres, Juan Torres, Ignacio Torres and her sisters, Amelia Torres, Ana Maria Camarillo, Alejandra Teran.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband Leonardo A. Bernal; her children, Juanita Covarrubias, Jesus Bernal, Graciela Moreno, Elizabeth Bernal and Daniel Bernal and Alicia Bernal.
Also surviving her are 22 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Domitila T. Bernal is scheduled for Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heravens in Weslaco. A Funeral Mass will be celebrate on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 12:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Donna. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral arrangements are pending with Salinas Funeral Home in Weslaco.
