Elsa- Former Constable Eduardo "Walo" Bazan, a dedicated family man, pillar of the community, and former Constable of PCT 5, peacefully passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 86.
Born on August 17, 1937, at the Guadalupe Del Torero Ranch in Texas to Mr. Gregorio Bazan & Mrs. Julia Gracia Bazan, Eduardo's life was filled with love, service, and a deep connection to his family heritage.
Walo is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Gregorio Bazan & Mrs. Julia Gracia Bazan; his brothers, Pedro Bazan, Jose Maria Bazan, Adan Bazan, Enrique Bazan; his sisters, Josefa Rocha, Elida Saldana & Eva Medrano.
Walo's legacy extends far beyond his professional achievements. He was a compassionate and loving husband to his wife, Amparo Salinas Bazan, and a devoted father to his children Eduardo Bazan Jr., Marco Antonio Bazan, Enrique Bazan, Andres Bazan, and Elizabeth Bazan Puente and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A man of many talents, Walo was known for his dedication to serving others. He proudly served as a member of the EEISD School Board, where he worked tirelessly to improve the education system for local children. Additionally, he was the proud owner of Bazan Auto Parts, a business that not only provided for his family but also served as a trusted resource for the community.
Walo will forever be remembered for his selflessness and genuine desire to help others. Whether he was lending a helping hand to a neighbor in need or going above and beyond to assist the community, his kind-hearted nature left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Eduardo "Walo" Bazan inspired all those who had the honor of knowing him. His compassion, dedication, and love for his family and community will continue to be cherished and remembered. May his soul forever rest in peace, and may his spirit guide us to serve others with the same unwavering devotion.
Visitation for Mr. Eduardo " Walo" Bazan is scheduled for Friday, February 2, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at the Edcouch-Elsa High School New Gymnasium in Elsa. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Febuary 3, 2024 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park of Weslaco.
Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
