Elena P Serow

Elsa- Elena P. Serow, 90, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at her residence in Elsa, Texas.

She was born on January 18, 1932 to Mr. Vicente Perez and Mrs. Baldomera A. Perez in Engleman Gardens Elsa, Texas.

Mrs. Serow is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband: Francis R. Serow; her son-in-law: Rafael Alvarez Jr & Don Kirkey; her brothers: Manuel Perez, Tomas Perez & Santiago Perez; her sister-in-law: Oralia Perez; her brother-in-law Domitilo Gomez.

Left to cherish her memories is her children: John Thomas (Susan) Serow, Melanie Lennora Serow-Alvarez; her step-children: Francis Richard (Robin) Serow & Susan Kirkey; her sister: Sara Gomez; her sister-in-law: Caritina Perez; her grandchildren: Sydney Serow Golden (Christina), Cassidy F. Serow, Michelle Smith, Lori Delosh, Paul Serow, Eric Serow; numerous great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren; her fur babies: Cinnamon, Mocha and Gordo.

A special thanks to Terri Carranza her Care Giver, IMS Home Hospice, Alicia, Sergio, and Yari, and her primary doctor, Dr. Gabriel Gonzalez. Elena worked for CP&L for 38 years; she was active at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa, TX as a CCD teacher, and also a member of the church choir. She was also active with the Boy Scouts of America (Troop 154, Elsa, TX), and the Edcouch-Elsa Band Boosters. She was also active in the city and county elections process as an Election Judge for many years.

Visitation for Mrs. Serow is scheduled for Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Angels in Elsa. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa. Mrs. Serow will be laid at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas on May 10, 2022 at 9:00 am.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
