Our Mother was the second to the youngest of a large family. As the family grew, our Grandparents decided to move to Elsa, Texas. Soon after arriving in the Delta Area, Grandpa Marcos and the family formed the family business, Perez Service Station, located on business Highway 88 in Elsa. The Perez family took pride in this new venture and pitched in to work. Soon it became a meeting place for the local community. Our Mother Elisa had a keen eye for detail and soon found herself helping with the bookkeeping. Mother attended Edcouch-Elsa High School and graduated in 1953. She was a lifelong Yellow Jacket who attended the Friday night football games for over fifty years with family and friends, especially her best friend, Lydia G. Villarreal. She continued to work for her father until she married our Dad, Armando Ochoa Sr. They were married at Sacred Heart Church in Elsa, Texas and had five children. They were married for fifty-six years until our father’s passing in 2015. The Ochoa families continued to do things together gathering daily at Mom’s for any little reason. This is what we will miss the most. Our Mother had a huge family base including nephews, nieces and cousins who held a special place in her heart. She always made it a point to keep in touch with everyone and making them feel special as they were all dearly loved by her.

We will miss our Mother greatly but know she is finally home in the House of our Lord Jesus and greeted with open arms by our dad. We Love You Momma. You will forever live in our hearts. We will see you and Dad in Heaven again someday. The Ochoa Families would like to thank Dr. Martha G. Cano, Dr. Martinez, Dr. Mego and the entire staff at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Special thanks to her best friend, Lydia G. Villarreal, for always being there for our Mother. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Orlando Ochoa Jr., Jarrett Castillo, Marcus Lara, Armando Ochoa III, Alec Ochoa, Andres Ochoa, Anthony Ochoa, and Orlando Ochoa III.
