Donna - Elpidio Rodriguez Sr., 85. passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance.
Mr. Rodriguez was born March 4, 1938 in Rodriguez, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, son of Juan Jose Rodriguez and Maria Nieves Hernandez. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria del Rosario Rodriguez; his parents; a brother, Lorenzo Rodriguez, ; sisters, Andrea Guerrero, Margarita Rodriguez and Juanita Trejo.
Left to cherish his memories are his children, Blanca Covarrubias, Maria Rada, Sylvia Leija, Elpidio Rodriguez Jr., Maggie Rodriguez, Juan Jose Rodriguez, Imelda Rodriguez, Clara Stoddard, Antonio Rodriguez, Maria G. Rodriguez; a brother, Adrian Rodriguez; sisters, Florentina Covarrubias, Irene Gonzalez and Lydia Martinez. Also surviving him are 34 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 4, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens in Weslaco. Funeral chapel service is scheduled for Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at 11:00 am at Sacred Park Cemetery in Mercedes.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Weslaco.
