La Feria - Felipe Martinez, 81, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville.
Mr. Martinez was born August 23, 1943 in Villa Juarez, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, son of Baltazar Martinez and Manuela Martinez Martinez. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Juanita Gloria Martinez; his children, Merari Galindo, Miguel Martinez, Rebecca Maya, Esmeralda de la Garza, Griselda Martinez; brothers, Jorge Sanchez, Jose Martinez, Eduardo Martinez; sisters, Margarita Avila and Rosario Gallegos. Also surviving him are 8 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a a Talk service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of Grace in Weslaco. As per his wishes, he will be cremated at a later date.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Weslaco.
