Mr. Gonzalez was born August 22, 1981 in Weslaco, Texas, son of Eloy Gonzalez Sr, and Maria Juanita Ruiz Gonzalez.
Gerardo is preceded in death by his father, Eloy Gonzalez Sr,.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Melissa J. Gonzalez; his children, Jerry Jamal Gonzalez, Alyssia E. Gonzalez, Gerardo Gonzalez II; his mother, Maria Juanita Gonzalez; his brother, Eloy Gonzalez Jr; his sisters, Priscilla "Shelia" Jaramillo, Amy Borjas, Mona Lisa Gonzalez and Elsa Gonzalez. Also surviving him is his granddaughter, Sophia Gonzalez.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Elsa. Funeral Mass is scheduled for Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 10:00 am at Sacred heart Catholic Church Interment to follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Elsa.
