Gloria A. Hernandez

Brownsville - Gloria A. Hernandez, 74, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Valley Bptist Medical Center.

Mrs. Hernandez was born August 17, 1950 in Brownsville, Texas, daughter of Jose Almeida and Consuelo Trevino Almeida. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ernesto Hernandez; her parents; siblings, Rey Almeida, Jose Almeida, Rogelio Almeida, Minerva Almeida, Maria Garcia, Carmen Reyes, Esperanza Sanchez and Yolanda Torres; a grandson, Royale Hernandez.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Ernesto Hernandez Jr. (Rosanna), Rogelio Hernandez (Caitlyn), Linda Solis (Israel) and Raquel Zuniga (Benjamin). Also surviving her are 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was a devoted grandmother, great-grandmother nd sister. She loved spending time with her family, loved music, dancing nd watching the Dallas Cowboys games. She will be remembered for her compassion, strength and love for her family. Her legacy will continue in the hearts of those she touched.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. A funeral chapel service is scheduled for Monday, October 14, 2024 at 12:00 pm with interment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
