Guadalupe Minerva Garza Pena

Brownsville - Guadalupe Garza Pena, 85, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024, at her residence.

Mrs. Pena was born July 28, 1939, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. Daughter of Alonso Garza and Estefana Gomez. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memories is her husband, Rodolfo Pena; her daughters, Rosa Maria Hinojosa (Jaime), Marisela De Leon (Ben), Susana Lopez (Noe); her brother, Carlos Garza and her sister, Maria Juanita Hernandez. Also surviving her are 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. A funeral mass is scheduled for Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 12:00 pm at St. Eugene de Mazenod Catholic Church in Brownsville with interment to follow at Rose Lawn Burial Park.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Brownsville.
