Mercedes - Hilaria Cardenas, 84, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 at her residence in Mercedes.
Mrs. Cardenas was born November 3, 1938 in Veracruz Mexico, daughter of Francisco Pacheco and Tiburcia Herrera. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Isidro Cardenas; her children, Irma Del Angel, Raul Del Angel, Maria Rosario Del Angel, Blanca Margarita Zapata, Rigoberto Del Angel, Carlos Del Angel, Jose Del Angel, Carlos Cardenas, Araceli Cardenas and her sisters, Felipa Pacheco, Josefina Pacheco and Rosa Vargas. Also surviving her are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens in Weslaco. Funeral chapel service is scheduled for Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Sacred Park Cemetery in Mercedes.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Weslaco.
