Jerry Jack Park, a beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024, in McAllen, Texas. Born on November 21, 1951, in Austin, Texas, to the late Dr. Gene Jack Park and survived by his mother Estella Muñoz Park, Jerry lived a life defined by love, service, and dedication to family and community.

In April of 1975, Jerry married the love of his life, Maria Elena Park. Together, they built a beautiful life and shared nearly fifty years of unwavering devotion. Their family grew to include their cherished daughters, Veronica Gene Tamez (Gumaro) and Jacqueline Christine Park (Juan Pablo Sandoval); sons, Christopher Omar Park (Maritza) and Arturo Patricio Gonzalez (Megan); granddaughters, Amy C. Tamez, Madalyn A. Park, Kaylee M. Sandoval, and Mia C. Sandoval; grandsons, Matthew D. Sandoval and Caiden O. Park; great-grandson, Mateo L. Sandoval. His legacy of love and strength lives on through them. He also cherished his late maternal grandmother Cipriana (Cipi) Rodriguez. Jerry is also survived by his three sisters, Tina Gonzalez, Pamela Bueno, and Corinna Carter, who loved and supported him.

Jerry proudly served his country as a United States Marine, exemplifying honor and courage. He continued his dedication to the military through service in the Army Reserves, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to his nation. His sense of duty extended into law enforcement, where he rose to sergeant with the Donna ISD Police Department during his 16 years of service. Jerry was known for his integrity and compassion, fostering a safer environment for students and staff. In addition to his law enforcement career, Jerry was a successful entrepreneur. For 30 years, he owned and operated Mid Valley Security, a business that provided reliable security services to the community. His expertise in security training and operations helped empower countless individuals, and his business became a trusted name in the region. Jerry's lifelong passion for justice and education also led him to work as a private investigator, where he helped others find resolution and truth. Through every role, Jerry's dedication to service and his unwavering kindness made a lasting impact on countless lives. During this time of mourning, we also celebrate the extraordinary life Jerry lived and the profound impact he made. His kindness, strength, and love will remain forever in the hearts of those he touched. Though he will be greatly missed, we find comfort in knowing that his legacy endures in the lives of those who were privileged to know and love him. Until we meet again, Jerry, we hold you in our hearts.

Visitation for Mr. Jerry Jack Park is scheduled for Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of Grace in Weslaco. A Chapel Service is scheduled for Friday, December 13, 2024 at 10:00 am at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of Grace. Interment will follow at Donna City Cemetery.
