Joel Alanis Garza

Brownsville- Joel Alanis Garza, 79, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville.

Mr. Garza was born on July 03, 1940, to Erasmo Alanis and Bertha Garza.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers Idilio Alanis and Erasmo Alanis.

Left to cherish Joel Alanis Garza memories is his wife Juana Alanis; his sons: Joel Alonso Alanis; his daughter: Flor Alicia Alanis; his brothers: Mario Alanis, Juan Alanis, Ermerhildo Alanis, Saul Alanis; his sisters: Rosa Alanis, Estela Alanis, Isidra Alanis; his two Grandchildren: Flor S. Vasquez, Areli H. Cisneros and his only Great-Grandchildren Sebastian Cantu.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, June 19, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Salinas Funeral Home Chapel of the Angels. Cremation will follow at a later date.

In accordance to the County of Cameron and the State of Texas we ask all guest to please practice social distancing by staying 6 feet apart from each other. For your safety every other chapel pew will be closed off. All guest are required to have a facial mask on with a filter. No other facial mask will be permitted. If you are feeling ill or have traveled outside the county we ask you please stay home. We recommended no children under the age of 11 or adult over the age 65 with any medical conditions not visit the funeral home. You are more then welcome to pay your condolences to the family online.
