Jose was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Monte Alto, Texas where he was a member of the church choir and volunteered his time at the food pantry. He was always willing to give his time, energy, and talents to his community. He was a friend to all in the community who knew him and always willing to lend a helping hand.
He loved football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Everyone who knew him, knew of his love for America's Team. He collected anything and everything that related to the Dallas Cowboys and proudly displayed them for all to see. Win or lose, they were his team.
The most important thing to Jose was his family, whom he loved. He loved spending time with family members, especially during large family gatherings. He always had a story to tell and made everyone laugh. He also enjoyed cooking for his family and made the best enchiladas. No restaurant could compare to the enchiladas that he made, and it was a treat when he made them.
