Jose Americo Garcia

Weslaco - Jose Americo Garcia, 69, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Garcia was born in September 13, 1955 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, son of Abel Garcia and Rita Hernandez. He is preceded in death ny 2 sons, Alejandro Roman Garcia, Cesar Alejandro Garcia and his father.

Left to cherish his memories are his mother Rita Hernandez Garcia; his children, Jose Americo Garcia Jr., Viridiana Garcia, Mauricio Garcia, Abel Garcia, Juanita Garcia, Abelardo Garcia Delgado; his sisters, Dilda Yracheta, Imelda Ayala, Dora Vargas, Ofelia Martinez, Maria Longoria, Araceli Diaz and Martha Lopez. Also surviving him are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of Grace in Weslaco. A funeral chapel service is scheduled for Friday, October 25, 2024 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Mercedes Memorial Restlawn in Mercedes.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Weslaco.
