Jose Bernal

Donna- Pastor Jose Antonio Bernal, 66, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at his residence in Donna.

Pastor Bernal was born on October 8, 1957 to Mr. Jose Antonio Bernal Rosales and Mrs. Valentina del Carmen Rivas in San Salvador, El Salvador.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Jose Antonio Bernal Rosales and Mrs. Valentina del Carmen Rivas.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Silvia Aracely Bernal, his son, Oswaldo A. Bernal; his daughters, Ingrid E. (Samuel) Maldonado, Sarai B. (Thomas Gaytan) Bernal, Cindy A. Bernal; his brother, Carlos Bernal; his sisters, Blanca E. Bernal, Miriam Rivas, Gloria V. Bernal, Maria M. Bernal, Maria A. Bernal, Ana J. Bernal; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

For over three decades, Jose diligently served as a pastor at the Iglesia Evangelica Misionera Alfa y Omega, touching countless lives through his unwavering faith and commitment to spreading the teachings of Jesus Christ. Gifted with the ability to inspire and uplift others, he dedicated his life to guiding his congregation and providing spiritual comfort to those in need. His gentle spirit, compassionate nature, and kind-heartedness endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Beyond his pastoral duties, Jose ventured beyond the borders of his homeland, preaching the gospel with fervor in El Salvador. His passion for spreading the message of hope and salvation touched the lives of many, fostering a sense of unity and love among the brothers and sisters in Christ.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of Grace in Weslaco. Visitation will continue on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Iglesia Evangelica Misionera Alfa y Omega from 8:00 am to 9:00 am followed by a Chapel Service. Interment will follow at 11:00 am at Val Verde Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Donna.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
