Jose Carmen Aguilar Najera

Brownsville - Jose Carmen Aguilar Najera, 75, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Valley Regional Medical Center,

Mr Aguilar was born July 16, 1945 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, son of Melquiades Aguilar and Martha Najera. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Enrique Aguilar; sisters, Rosa Arevalo, Maria Polanco, Martha Aguilar, Serapia Aguilar.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Anita Yolanda Espinosa Aguilar; children, Sylvia Martinez, Jose Luis Aguilar; Alex Aguilar; brothers, Pedro Aguilar and Gonzalo Aguilar. Also surviving him are his grandchildren, David Aguilar, Valerie Martinez, Rudy Martinez, Ashley Martinez, Abigail Aguilar, Britney Aguilar, Jocelyn Aguilar Alexa Aguilar and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. Visitation will resume Friday, March 26, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral chapel service will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Guillen Community Cemetery.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
