He was born on May 10, 1959, to Jose Olvera and Paula Canales Olvera in Mexico.

Mr. Olvera is preceded in death by his father Jose Olvera; his brothers: Jose Olvera, Guillermo Olvera, Carlos Olvera & Porfirio Olvera.

Left to cherish his memories is his son: Alejandro Olvera Jr.; his mother Paula Canales Olvera, his sisters: Minerva Gomez (Jose Raul Gomez), Socorro Limon, Perla Juarez; his nieces: Myra M. Gomez, Maribel Gomez, Paula L. Gomez, Mia Gomez.

Visitation for Mr. Jose C. Olvera is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6, 2020, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. Funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Brownsville, Texas. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
