Jose Rosvel Martinez

Edinburg - Jose Rosvel Martinez, 82, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Martinez was born August 29, 1938, in Agualegas, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, son of Zaragoza Martinez and Josefa Canales Martinez. He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael Tamez, Ramon Arturo Tamez; his brother-in-law, Gilberto Saldivar husband of Maricela Saldivar.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Yolanda Martinez Ochoa (Alex), Gloria Martinez Cantu (Enemias) , Artemio (Jennifer) Martinez, Jose Rosbel (Mary Lou) Martinez Jr., Oscar Tamez, Delia Carillo, Alfonso Tamez, Lorinda Medellin, Jesus Rosbel Martinez, Jose Eliberto (Jenna) Martinez, Veronica Corona, Dora Luz Salas, Juan Salvador Martinez, Jose Rosbel Martinez, Marivel Martinez, Jesus Martinez; sisters, Delia Martinez Garza, Maricela Saldivar, San Juanita Martinez Cespedes (Teodoso). Also surviving him are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 22, 202, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Rosary at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Angels in Elsa. Funeral chapel service is scheduled for Monday, November 23, 2020, at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Elsa.
