Mercedes- Josefina Herrera Castillo, 57, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 25, 2024 in Weslaco.

Mrs. Josefina Herrera Castillo was born on March 16, 1966 to Mrs. Beatriz Arellano in Mexico.

Mrs. Herrera Castillo is preceded in death by her brother, Pedro Herrera.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Francisco (Marisol) Viera; her mother, Beatriz Arellano; her brothers, Hilario Herrera Jr., Javier Herrera, Florentino Herrera, Candelario Herera, Jesus Herrera, Jorge Munoz, Patricio Herrera; her sisters, Cecilia Herrera, Beatriz Herrera; her grandchildren, Kayla Viera, Ashley Viera, Frank Viera Jr., Alex Viera.

Visitation for Mrs. Josefina Herrera Castillo are scheduled for Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Angels in Elsa. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Angels in Elsa. Interment will follow at Sacred Park Cemetery in Mercedes.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
