Brownsville - Joseph Linwood Newton Jr., 74, passed away Monday, December 4, 2023 at Valley Baptist Medical Center.
Mr. Newton was born September 12, 1949 in Durham, North Carolina, son of Joseph Linwood Newton and Madis Newton. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Ernestina Loredo Newtons; his children, Joey Newtona and Yadira Newton Ortiz.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm and a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens. As per his wishes, he will be cremated at a later date.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
