Juan Jose Bocanegra Garcia

Brownsville - Juan Jose Bocanegra Garcia, 82, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Brownsville Nursing Home and Rehab Center.

Mr. Garcia was born November 2, 1941 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, son of Guadalupe Bocanegra and Margarita Bocanegra Garcia. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Regina Rivera; his children, Ricardo Bocanegra, Rigoberto Bocanegra, Sergio Bocanegra, Alicia Bocanegra, Armando Bocanegra, Irma Bocanegra, Juan Bocanegra Jr., Leticia Bocanegra, Blanca Margarita Bocanegra, Nancy Bocanegra and Juana Bocanegra; stepson, Luis Rivera. He is also survived by 2 sisters. Also surviving him are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. Funeral chapel is scheduled for Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Guillen Community Cemetery.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
