Brownsville - Julia Garcia de Astello, 89, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 at her residence in Brownsville.

Mrs, Garcia de Astello was born March 15, 1931 in Tula, Tampaulipas, Mexico, daughter of Marcelo Garcia and Valvina De Leon. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rosa Linda Hernandez and a daughter-in-law, Maria Rosario Astello.

Left to cherish her memories is her husband Juan Astello; children, Celestina Astello, Maria de Rosario Astello, Maria Guadalupe Astello, Cecilio Astello, Adelina Hinojosa (Efren), Benjamin Astello (Maria), Armando Astello (Lourdes); brothers, Pedro Garcia, Alberto Garcia, Leonardo Garcia, Gildardo Garcia,Marcelino Garcia, Javier Garcia; sisters, Margarita Garcia, Elvira Garcia, Mina Garcia. Also surviving her are 42 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren,

Visitation will be Sunday, July 26, 2020 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Prayer Service at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. Funeral chapel service will be Monday, July 27, 2020 at 9 a.m. at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville, Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Burial Park.
