Alamo- Laura Nelly Vargas Hernandez, 51, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 10, 2023 at her residence in Alamo.

Mrs. Vargas was born on August 25, 1972 to Mr. Jose Luis Vargas and Mrs. Guadalupe Hernandez in Mexico.

Mrs. Vargas is preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Guadalupe Hernandez; her husband, Juan Manuel Palencia; her brother, Jose Luis Vargas Hernandez and her sister, San Juana Vargas Hernandez.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Juan Manuel Palencia Vargas, Hector Adrian Palencia Vargas; her daughter, Diana Laura Palencia Vargas; her father, Mr. Jose Luis Vargas; her brothers, Rito Ismael Vargas Hernandez, Victor Vargas Hernandez, Francisco Vargas Hernandez; her sisters, Maria Luisa Vargas Hernandez, Angelica Vargas Hernandez and 4 grandchildren.

Visitation for Mrs. Laura Nelly Vargas Hernandez is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens in Weslaco. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 10:00 am at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Weslaco City Cemetery.
