Leonarda Salazar

La Villa- Leonarda "Nona" Salazar, 78, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Rio Grande Regional Medical Center in McAllen, Texas.

She was born on November 6, 1942 to Mr. Margarito Delgado and Mrs. Selerina Rodriguez in Paducah, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memories is her husband: Alejos Salazar; his son: Alejos (Lollie) Salazar Jr.; her daughters: Sylvia (Michael) Murphy & Esmeralda "Amy" Salazar; her sister: Hidalia "Lolly" Castillo; and her grandchildren: Stephanie Salazar, Katherine Loredo, Carolynn Loredo, Alexis Martinez, Alejos Salazar III, Socorro "Soki" Salazar, Victoria Salazar.

Visitation for Mrs. Leonarda Salazar is scheduled for Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Angels in Elsa. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Edcouch, Texas. Mrs. Salazar will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
