Liladene Ann Stout (Hudson)
Liladene Ann Stout "Lila" was Born Dec 9, 1936 in Vinita, Oklahoma, always referring to herself very proudly as an "Okie." Lila joined in Heaven our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 11, 2023, in Weslaco, Texas.
Lila is preceded in death by her parents, sister and two brothers. She is survived by her husband of 67 years Edward Stout, her children Diane Morris (Jeff), Brian Stout (Bridget), Karen Cameron and Donald Stout. As well as numerous Grand and Great Grandchildren.
Lila had countless friends she leaves behind. She was a devoted lifelong Christian, active in church throughout her life and an extremely accomplished instrumentalist, playing the organ in church almost until the end of her earthly life. Especially loving the old-time hymns.
As a Navy wife, Lila spent most of her years with Ed, raising their four children in various locations including Guam, Tennessee, Oklahoma, California, Maryland, Texas and finally settling down long term in Washington State.
Having a passion for travel, after retirement, Lila and Ed spent nearly 30 years as "Winter Texans" traveling between their homes in Ferndale, Washington and Weslaco, Texas.
Lila had a wonderful sense of humor and a devoted servant's heart, and remained active in numerous organizations including being president of the Chief's Wives Club on Whidbey Island and 1015 RV Park Activities Director, in addition to many church activities.
Lila will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
