Lorenzo Benavidez

Brownsville - Lorenzo Benavidez, 70, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.

Mr. Benavidez was born July 16, 1954 in Sunnyside, Washington, son of Senon Benavidez and Beatriz Sanchez Benavidez. He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Rose Ann Ruiz; brother, Senon Benavidez Jr. and a sister, Thelma Benavidez.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Amparo Garcia Benavidez; his daughters, Elizabeth Lopez and Beatriz Reyes; his sisters, Ivonne Benavidez, Diana Benavidez and Norma Benavidez. Also surviving him are 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

As per his wishes, he will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
