Edinburg - Magdalena Salazar, 78, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Salazar was born May 5, 1945 in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico, daughter of Rafael Marines and Martina Mendez. She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother Manuel Marines; sisters, Paula Marines and Guadalupe Marines.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Francisco Salazar; her children, Yolanda Salazar, Martina Salazar, Silvia Salazar, Juana Salazar, Manuel Salazar, Francisco Salazar Jr.; her brother, Juan Marines; sisters, Consuelo Marines, Ofelia Marines, Carmela Marines, Irma Marines and Ignacia Marines. Also surviving her are 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens in Elsa. As per her wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Elsa.
