Manuel Chapa

Brownsville - Manuel Chapa, 48, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Valley Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Chapa was born April 22, 1973 in Brownsville, Texas, son of Tiburcio Chapa and Elia Torres Chapa. He is preceded in death by his father and a brother, Tiburcio Chapa.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife: Martha Elida Vielma Chapa; children: Valerie Chapa, Jacqueline Chapa (Peter Hernandez); mother: Elia Torres Chapa; brothers: Ponciano Chapa, Gilberto Chapa, Alfredo Chapa, Mario Chapa, Ruben Chapa; sisters: Maria Chapa, Norma Cantu Ofelia Cantu. Also surviving him is his grandson Keith Hernandez.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels. Visitation will resume Tuesday, May 18, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A Chapel Service will be held on May 18, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels. Interment to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
