Donna- Margarita Avila, 80, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at her residence in Donna, Texas.

Mrs. Avila was born on January 14, 1944 to Mr. Florentino Garza and Guadalupe Chavez de Garza in McAllen, Texas.

Mrs. Avila is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Florentino Garza and Guadalupe Chavez de Garza; her daughter-in-law, Nadia Avila; her son-in-law, Jaime Garza; her daugther, Alma Hernandez; his brother, Rodrigo Garza; her sisters, Esperanza Trejo, Eva Gallegos, Luz Licea.

Left to cherish her memories are her Loving Husband, Humberto Avila; her sons, Jose Humberto Avila, Jorge (Patricia) Avila; her daughters, Sandra Avila, Cristina (Nicolas) Gonzalez, Sylvia (William Lozano) Avila, Dalia Avila; her son-in-law, Antonio Hernandez; her brothers, Roberto Garza, Juan Garza, Ernesto Garza, Leopoldo Garza, Florentino Garza Jr., Jose Luis Garza, Gumercindo Garza, Jose Florentino Garza; her sisters, Maria Guadalupe Davila, Florinda Delgado; 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mrs. Margarita Avila is scheduled for Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of Grace in Weslaco. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Donna. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
