Maria C. Chavez

Brownsville - Maria C. Chavez, 90, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024 at her residence.

Mrs. Chavez was born December 28, 1933 in Mexico, daughter of Paz Jimenez and Maria de Jesus Sanchez Jimenez. She is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco R. Chavez; her parents abs 2 sons, Efrain Chavez and Daniel Chavez.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Francisco Chavez Jr., Humberto Chavez, Gabriel Chavez; daughters, Maria Gloria Vasquez and Mary Jane Mateo; her brother, Benjamin Jimenez. Also surviving her are several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. Interment will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Las Palmas Cemetery in Brownsville.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
