Maria A. Chavez

Weslaco- Maria A. Chavez, 96, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020, at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco.

She was born on July 25, 1924, to Mr. Ismael Saldivar and Mrs. Maria Ignacia Rodriguez Saldivar in Mexico.

Mrs. Chavez is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers; her sisters and her husband Mauro Chavez.

Left to cherish her memories is her son: Eduardo (Oralia) Barbosa; her grandchildren: Norma M. (Jorge Luis) Cisneros, Santos O. (Monica) Barbosa, Esmeralda (Abel N.) Ayala, Julio Eduardo Barbosa, Javier (Claudia) Barbosa, David (Giovanni) Barbosa, Adrian Barbosa and 18 Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation for Mrs. Maria A. Chavez is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, 2020, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens in Elsa. Interment will follow at Weslaco City Cemetery.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Elsa.
