Donna - Maria de Rosario Rodriguez, 85, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023 at her residence.
Mrs. Rodriguez was born April 11, 1938 in Rodriguez, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, daughter of Antonio Abrego and Clara Trevino Abrego. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Aurora Cedillo, Maria Rodriguez and a grandson, Juan J. Rodriguez Jr.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Elpidio Rodriguez Sr.l children, Blanca N. Covarrubas, Maria Rada, Sylvia Leija, Elpidio Rodriguez Jr. Maggie Rodriguez, Juan J. Rodriguez Sr. , Imelda Rodriguez, Clara E. Stoddard, Antonio Rodriguez, Maria G. Rodriguez; brothers, Guadalupe Abrego, Francisco Abrego, Manuel Abrego; sisters, Antonia Leyva, Inez Abreo and Maria Abrego. Also surviving her are 34 grandchildren ad 44 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Heavens in Weslaco. Funeral chapel service is scheduled for Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Sacred Park Cemetery in Mercedes.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Weslaco.
