Maria Del Consuelo Guerra

Brownsville - Maria Del Consuelo Guerra, 90, passed away Wednesday February 2, 2022 at her residence in Brownsville.

Mrs. Guerra was born December 20, 1931 in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, daughter of Fortino Cortez and Maria Ana Rodriguez. She is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Guerra Lucio; her parents, her brothers, Marcelino Cortez and Fernando Cortez.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Jose Luis Guerra, Juana Maria Guerra, Alma Guadalupe Guerra, Samuel Guerra and Martha Guerra; her brothers Ricardo Cortez, Juan Cortez, Jesus Cortez; sisters, Esperanza Cortez, Francisca Cortez and Virginia Cortez. Also surviving her are 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, February 4, 2022 from 2 pm to 8 pm with a rosary at 6 pm at Salinas Funeral Home-Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. As per her wishes, she will be cremated at a later date.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
