Weslaco- Maria Herlinda Gonzalez, 77, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at University Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Mrs. Gonzalez was born on December 16, 1944 to Mr. George Loy and Mrs. Andrea V. Loy in Robstown, Texas.

Mrs. Gonzalez is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jose G. Ocanas and her sister, Eusebia Green.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Reyes (Yuvicela) Gonzalez, Lupe (Cristina) Gonzalez, George (Diana) Gonzalez; her daughters, Elia (Robert) Zamora, Reynalda (Michael) Rodriguez; her brothers, Roberto Loy, Santos Loy, Arturo Loy; her sisters, Maria F. Ocanas Rodriguez, Audencia Ocanas Rios, Maria O. Loy Moreno, Janie Loy Jolly; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mrs. Maria Herlinda Gonzalez is scheduled for Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens in Weslaco. A Chapel Service will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 10:00 am at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Weslaco City Cemetery.
