Maria Ines Contreras Limas

Brownsville - Maria Ines Contreras Limas, 91, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024, at her residence.

Ms. Contreras Limas was born April 20, 1933, in San Carlos, Tamaulipas. Daughter of Valentin Contreras Torres and Maria Genoveva Limas Gonzalez. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Elena, Guadalupe, Juliana, Maria, Isaias, Atanacia, Reutilia and Sixto Contreras Limas.

Left to cherish her memories are her children Dalia Cortez-De La Cruz (Osiel), Gabriela Cortez-Castillo (Armando), Adriana Cortez Contreras and her sister Gabriela Contreras Limas. Also surviving her are her 7 grandchildren Jose Antonio (Rossana), Armando, Jessica Alexa, Andrea Rebecca, Cristina Alejandra, Sebastian and Mariana Ines.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home - Chapel of the Angels in Brownsville. Funeral mass is scheduled for Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 12:00 pm at St. Eugene Catholic Church with interment to follow at Rose Lawn Burial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Sebastian De La Cruz, Osiel De La Cruz, Jose A. Hernandez, Armando Castillo, Javier Jimenez and Valentin Contreras.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home in Brownsville.
